Managing Web Content at Ole Miss

With the rest of the Web Content team, I help ensure the University of Mississippi's (UM) online presence stays consistent, informative, and aligns with the university's overarching communications and marketing goals.

This includes:

  • Web Content Mangement. Developing, managing, and maintaining content across various platforms.
  • CMS Management. Making sure different units across campus are equipped to put their best digital-foot forward. 

Collaboration is a key aspect of my job.  

  • Through cross-team collaboration, I work closely with units across campus to identify content needs, gather information, and craft compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences.  
  • Collaborating with the rest of the Web Content team, I actively participate in establishing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to govern web content and electronic communications for the university. 

The Future of Web Content at Ole Miss

The Web Content team are always looking for new ways to enhance UM's online presence. In the future, our team looks forward to continuing our efforts in: 

  • SEO and Keyword Research. SEO and keywrod research helps our partners across campus continue to create user friendly and search engine optimized web pages.
  • Data-Driven Web Strategy. A data-driven web strategy grounds us in detailed user data. Utilizing data analytics helps us gain deeper insights into evolving user behaviors and helps us tailor content accordingly. 
  • User Experience Design. User experience design is an ongoing project for our team. To stay on top of the ever changing patterns of our users, we constantly explore user research and the integration of emerging technologies to further engage online audiences. 
  • Website Optimization. The Web Content team is committed to staying current on web content strategy best practices and industry trends to make sure UM stays at the forefront of online communication.
