Manager Web Content

Andrew Freiman

I help University of Mississippi content creators connect with their audiences in both traditional and AI search.

Research Interests

My research focuses on answer engine optimization (AEO) and how AI search systems cite and surface university content, alongside content strategy, search engine optimization, and expanding organic reach through structured, emotionally resonant storytelling.

Biography

I manage the University of Mississippi's web content strategy, leading a team of writers aligned to the university's schools and colleges. My background is an MFA in creative writing from Ole Miss, and that editorial foundation of precision, structure, and revision shapes how I approach digital strategy.

I also teach in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric, where my current interest is what AI fluency should mean for writing students. Not tool tutorials, but whether the skills of the writing classroom are becoming the core skills of working with AI.

In 2026, I was selected to present at Digital Collegium on AI-assisted application development in higher education.
