Biography
Hanieh Agharazi is a Research Scientist at the National Center for Physical Acoustics, where she is a member of the Applied Acoustics Group. She earned her PhD in Systems and Control Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, with expertise in computational data analysis, information theory, machine learning, modern optimization, power systems, and stochastic processes. With extensive experience in designing and implementing innovative solutions for data-driven challenges across various domains, her research integrates theoretical expertise with hands-on experimentation to advance technological capabilities. Prior to joining NCPA, Hanieh was a Senior Research Scientist at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, where her research focused on signal processing techniques to study visuospatial navigation and detect abnormalities in neurological disorders such as dystonia and Parkinson’s disease.
