Dr. Edgemon’s applied research focuses on:
  1. intervention to improve conditions of confinement for justice-involved youth and
  2. using translational models to understand behavioral demand underlying problematic consumption patterns. Dr. Edgemon also evaluates behavior using translational models, including behavior under control of schedules of covariation.

Biography

Dr. Edgemon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Mississippi. She is a behavior analyst studying topics at the intersection of behavioral science and the legal system. Her research focuses on improving conditions for justice-involved youth (JIY) by developing behavioral interventions for this unique and vulnerable youth population. Dr. Edgemon’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and the Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior. In addition, her work has been funded by the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis.
