Biography

April is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of project management experience with federally funded programs. She is highly organized and detail-oriented, bringing valuable assistance to high-level administration in educational research. Currently, she serves as a Research Associate at the National Center for Physical Acoustics (NCPA) at the University of Mississippi. In this role, she manages the pre-award and post-award administration of sponsored research programs, assists in developing grant proposals, and maintains fiscal oversight of multiple complex budgets.

April's expertise extends to serving as a liaison with government agencies, private industries, and various university departments, ensuring smooth collaboration and compliance. Before her current role, she was a Project Manager and Data Analyst at the Center for Mathematics and Science Education (CMSE), where she managed federally funded projects related to STEM education, performed programmatic duties, and supported the grant writing process. Her strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and ability to coordinate multiple projects efficiently have been pivotal in her career, making her a valuable asset in the field of educational research.
