Biography

Having lived in Mississippi my entire life, I have been surrounded by Ole Miss alumni. I grew up coming to The Grove, spending holidays in Oxford, and learning about all of the traditions at Ole Miss. There are traditions that are deeply engrained in the Ole Miss culture like sharing a “Hotty Toddy” when you see someone in an Ole Miss shirt or spending time in The Grove. What is fun, is creating your own traditions as a student. This could be having coffee on the Square or even studying at the same table every week in the library. Whether you grew up an Ole Miss fan or your first time on our campus is for a tour, you can immediately feel how special Oxford is. It is fondly known as “The Velvet Ditch” because it is a place that is so comfortable and makes it so hard to leave.
