Dr. Brandon Nabors is a dedicated public health researcher and educator specializing in health disparities, HIV prevention, and the social and cultural determinants of health. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the William Magee Institute for Student Wellbeing, Dr. Nabors conducts innovative research aimed at understanding and addressing health inequities in marginalized communities, with a particular focus on the Southern United States. His work leverages large-scale datasets and mixed methodologies to develop evidence-based interventions that promote health equity and well-being. In addition to his research, Dr. Nabors serves as an Adjunct Professor, teaching courses that inspire and equip students to tackle pressing public health challenges. Through his commitment to mentorship, scholarship, and systemic change, Dr. Nabors is advancing the mission of improving individual and community health outcomes.

Biography
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Mississippi. My work focuses on understanding the social and cultural determinants that influence health behaviors, with a particular emphasis on HIV prevention in the Southern United States. Additionally, my work explores systemic change in public health policies and practices by integrating innovative methodologies and leveraging datasets to better understand health disparities and develop evidence-based interventions.
