Research Interests
Dr. Moon’s research focuses on exploring the transmission of negative information on social media in terms of reputation management.
Her current research also includes employee silence (information withholding) and strategic internal communication.
Biography
Bitt Moon received her Ph.D. in Media Arts and Sciences from Indiana University in 2022. She worked as a strategic researcher at Fleishman Hillard Korea and served as a member of the communication advisory committee of governmental institutions such as the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and the Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea. She earned her first Ph.D. in communication and information at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in Korea in 2011
Dr. Moon holds the public relations perspective to examine the different roles of integrated communication strategies in sustaining reputation/relationships with consumers, employees, and the community.
She has published various peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, Journal of Public Relations Research, Public Relations Review, International Journal of Strategic Communication, Asian Journal of Communication, and Asian Journal of Public Relations.
