Carmen Elizabeth Riggan

Biography

Carmen Riggan serves as Assistant Dean for the College of Liberal Arts Student Services. She is originally from California but calls Oxford, MS home. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Mississippi. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education. In 2020, she was the recipient of the Frist Student Service Award for her excellence in supporting students. Carmen’s student-centered approach is reflected in her work as she oversees advising efforts, CLA orientation, student petitions/complaints, and academic discipline cases. She represents the Student Services team in university committees such as the Academic Policy Review Committee, the Completion and Student Success Committee, and more.
