Chris Canty Sparks is an Instructional Associate Professor of Integrated Marketing Communication.

Biography

Chris Canty Sparks teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate IMC programs. Sparks joined the school as a professional in residence after a 25-year career in strategic consumer marketing, agency campaign planning, category management and communications with Fortune 100 companies that include Ogilvy & Mather, The Coca-Cola Company, M&M/Mars Incorporated and The Colgate-Palmolive Company.

Sparks has considerable experience in the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns and brand introductions. She has been an integral member of the teams that launched Coca-Cola Zero, Diet Coke with Lime, Diet Vanilla Coke, Diet Cherry Coke, Fresca Flavors and other brands of The Coca-Cola Company.

Sparks received her master’s of business administration degree from the Owen Graduate School of Business at Vanderbilt University earning a dual concentration in marketing and organization management. She has a bachelor’s of business administration degree with a double major in marketing and management from the University of Mississippi.
