Biography
Until February of my senior year of high school, I had absolutely no idea where I wanted to attend college. In-state colleges didn’t have the majors I wanted, and they didn’t offer great scholarships. Out-of-state, I was overwhelmed by the many choices. I decided I had to see them for myself, so my mom and I took a road trip to visit a few colleges outside of Louisiana. We must have visited half a dozen schools, but I still couldn’t imagine spending four years at any of these universities. Finally, we visited Ole Miss in Oxford. After a big lunch at Ajax Diner and a campus visit with the friendliest tour guide I had ever met, I was sold. I still remember walking through the Grove, seeing the students (and squirrels!), and the feeling of relief when I decided I’d be calling this campus home for the next four years. Hotty Toddy!
