Christina Torbert is an experienced librarian and manager of library continuing and electronic resources. She oversees the department that acquires and supports access to all the content for the J.D. Williams and Science Library. She also acts as the subject research specialist for gender studies, philosophy, and religion.

Biography
Christina Torbert, associate professor, has served the university as the head of continuing resources and acquisitions for the J.D. Williams Library since 2017. She joined the university in 2004 as the head of serials. She is the subject specialist for bibliographic instruction and research assistance in gender studies, philosophy, and religion. Torbert has spent her career managing library continuing resource and acquisition workflows for all formats, physical and electronic. She is involved in budget setting and oversight for library collection building, including predicting future budgetary needs. She supervises the technical support systems for accessing library electronic resources, and she has primary responsibility for preparing license agreements for those resources.
