Biography
Darrienne Martin-Madkins serves as Administrative Assistant for the Center for STEM Learning at the University of Mississippi, where she supports program coordination, outreach initiatives, and student engagement efforts within the Jim and Thomas Duff Center for Science and Technology Innovation. She holds a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a concentration in Biomolecular Sciences and Pharmacology from the University of Mississippi. Her academic and research experience includes work in analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, and protein analysis.
In her role, Martin-Madkins contributes to the development and implementation of STEM programming for K–12 students and supports active learning initiatives designed to enhance student engagement and academic success. As native of Clinton, Mississippi, she is committed to strengthening STEM opportunities across Mississippi and nearby areas by supporting programs that emphasize hands-on learning and real-world application.
Martin-Madkins also serves as a teaching intern for an interdisciplinary STEM course, where she supports instruction focused on critical thinking, the scientific method, and applied learning. Through her work, she contributes to the creation of engaging and inclusive learning environments that support student growth and exploration in STEM fields.
