Biography
The Paris-Yates Chapel is special to me because it provides a place of peace. Situated quite prominently within the landscape of our beautiful campus, it warmly welcomes all to an inviting, tranquil space where members of the Ole Miss family and community can find quiet places for prayer, meditation, and worship. Given the busy schedules of our actively engaged students, faculty and staff, it is a nice respite. As the University strives to meet the needs of its students academically, artistically, athletically and socially, it also strives to meet their needs spiritually through various interdenominational services and student religious organizations. Whether you’re a prospective student or a member of a wedding party, the sanctuary will accommodate you quite nicely. Next time you’re visiting campus, take a moment to admire this beautiful place with its colorful stained glass windows and be sure to listen for the melodious ringing of the bells!
