Biography
Elizabeth Sweeney is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Research Evaluation. Her professional background includes academic publishing, K-12 and higher education, and community engagement in the realms of health, education, and workforce development. Her role at CERE in its Children, Families, and Communities portfolio allows her to continue to work in these areas while supporting advances in education, health, and wellbeing in Mississippi and beyond. She has a PhD in Education from the University of Mississippi, where she also earned Master’s and Specialist degrees in Curriculum & Instruction, and a BA in Religious Studies from Millsaps College. She has previously worked at the University as a graduate research assistant, instructor, and teacher intern supervisor in the School of Education, and as a publishing assistant and research associate in the Center for Population Studies.
