Holly T Reynolds

Biography

Dr. Reynolds earned her B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Rice University. She joined the University of Mississippi Department of Political Science faculty in 1997 and served for 5 years as Assistant Professor. She was one of the original faculty members with the interdisciplinary Croft Institute for International Studies.

Her areas of specialization include Latin American politics, comparative elections, political parties, legislative-executive relations, and issues related to democratization.

In recognition of her teaching, she was the 2000 recipient of the Cora Lee Graham Award for Teaching of Freshmen in the College of Liberal Arts.

Dr. Reynolds joined the Dean’s office in the College of Liberal Arts in 2002 as Assistant Dean and was promoted to Associate Dean in 2007. Her areas of responsibility are varied, and include public relations, facilities, undergraduate student recruitment and orientation, curriculum matters, general education, academic technology, and a wide range of student issues such as scholarships, advising, student disability services liaison, student awards, petitions, CLA student leadership council, and more.
