Drew Windham

Biography

James "Drew" Windham serves as Facility Manager for the Center for STEM Learning at the University of Mississippi, where he oversees  logistical operations for the Center and manages the Jim and Thomas Duff Center for Science and Technology Innovation. He assumed this role in April 2024 prior to the completion of the university's 202,000-square-foot, multidisciplinary STEM facility. A native of Oxford, Mississippi, Windham graduated from Lafayette High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the  University of Mississippi School of Engineering. His career at the university spans more than two decades, beginning as a student  employee at age 16 as a gardener in the marijuana fields with the Coy Waller Lab in the National Center for Natural Products Research. Over the course of his career, Windham has developed extensive expertise in facilities management, operations, and program support. He previously held leadership roles within the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education, where he managed complex, multi-building  operations, including the E. F. Yerby Conference Center, Jackson Avenue Center, Oxford University Train Depot, and Paris-Yates Chapel. Windham is committed to implementing streamlined systems and intuitive digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery for building occupants. In his current role,  he leads the development and enforcement of building policies, coordinates with campus and community partners, and ensures the effective operation of high-impact educational spaces that support  STEM learning and innovation.
