Biography
Dr. John Latartara is an associate professor of music theory and received his doctorate in theoretical studies from New England Conservatory of Music. His research focuses on timbre in Western classical, Asian, and electronic music with articles appearing in the journals Asian Music, Twentieth-Century Music, Journal of Music Theory Pedagogy, Journal of Musicological Research, College Music Symposium, Current Musicology, Ethnomusicology, and Indiana Theory Review. In 2008, Dr. Latartara was the recipient of the Fulbright Senior Scholar Award to Thailand.
