Research Interests
Kelvin has developed theoretical and computational models to investigate a variety of phenomena in the interstellar medium such as molecular tornadoes and extreme scattering events. He is also interested in physics and astronomy education, especially in the area of student-centered learning.
Biography
Kelvin joined the University of Mississippi in 2025. He is passionate about making physics and astronomy accessible and engaging for students, drawing on experience as a physics and astronomy teaching assistant, high school educator, and former data scientist. He is also active in science communication and outreach, including serving as Master of Ceremonies for the Women in Physics Canada Conference and representing the University of Manitoba during the 2024 total solar eclipse.
