Biography
Dr. Adcock is a Professor at The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy and the University of Mississippi Medical Center, School of Medicine. She serves as the Director of Clinical Research for the School of Pharmacy Center for Clinical and Translational Research. Her entire professional career has focused on developing, supporting, and implementing clinical research through the facilitation of clinical trial administration and investigator training.
She originally gained experience with the administration of industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated projects through the NIH-funded Pediatric Pharmacology Research Unit at LSU-Shreveport, followed by the development of the Division of Pediatric Clinical Research at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she served as the Director. At the University of Mississippi Medical Center, she provided the infrastructure needed to build an active clinical research program that engaged clinical providers in the fundamentals of clinical research. Through the Division, she along with the physician collaborators conducted over 100 clinical trials evaluating the pharmacokinetics, efficacy, and safety of medications and devices in neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
Specifically, her prior work has focused in part on evaluating the pharmacokinetic parameters of marketed and newly discovered agents in neonatal and pediatric patients in a variety of disease states and conditions.
