Biography

Kathy Shoalmire is the Project Coordinator for the Risk Management and Insurance Program. The RMI program, one of the oldest and largest in the U.S., draws much attention from employers in the industry. Her responsibilities include the coordinating of: two dedicated career fairs, the annual Ole Miss Insurance Symposium – a 2-day event involving more than a dozen industry thought leaders and over 200 attendees, the fundraising portion of the symposium, and the the annual golf tournament at Annandale.  She also serves as staff advisor for the student chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma. Kathy graduated from the UM School of Law in 1988 and Mississippi State in 1977. Prior to coming to Ole Miss in 2014, she worked in DC for Senator Stennis, Senator Cochran, worked for the MS Legislature, helped in the field of accident reconstruction, and spent 15 years as a childbirth educator, CPR instructor, and lactation consultant.
