Biography
Lou Burney is a CPA who received her undergraduate degree in accounting from Ole Miss. She began her career with Arthur Andersen and KPMG in public accounting. She served as the chief financial officer for Millsaps College for 27 years where she also received her Master of Accountancy degree.
In 2014, she was selected as an Instructor of Accountancy in the Patterson School of Accountancy. In 2023, she was promoted to Lecturer and was named the inaugural winner of the St. Amand Outstanding Teaching Award.
