Research Interests
Ms. Kim's research interests span corpus linguistics, second language acquisition, natural language processing, English for Academic Purposes, and intelligent computer-assisted language learning. Her recent publications have been published in The Modern Language Journal, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, English for Specific Purposes, and Research Methods in Applied Linguistics.
Biography
Minjin Kim is an instructor of Korean in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi. She earned her M.A. in Foreign Language Education from Seoul National University in South Korea in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics at The Pennsylvania State University, with an expected graduation date of May 2025. She brings over a decade of language teaching experience, instructing students ranging from K-12 to graduate level in both Korea and the U.S.
She has co-taught several graduate courses in Applied Linguistics, including Computational and Statistical Methods for Corpus Analysis, Technology-mediated Language Learning, and Learner Corpus Research.
