Biography
Marko Pavlovic, Ed.D., is an Assistant Professor of Special Education at the University of Mississippi. His teaching, research, and professional interests center on dyslexia, inclusive education, adapted physical education, movement and physical activity, and the development of effective educational practices for learners with disabilities.
Dr. Pavlovic brings more than a decade of experience across K–12 education, higher education, research, coaching, adapted physical education, and community-based practice. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in special education and inclusive education and has worked directly with students with exceptionalities, including individuals with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
His research explores the intersection of dyslexia, physical activity, movement, inclusive sport, and educational development. His scholarly work has examined inclusive practices in physical education, youth athletes with dyslexia, coaching climates, and the potential relationship between movement and indicators associated with dyslexia.
Dr. Pavlovic is also the founder of Exceptional Access, an adaptive fitness organization providing individualized, evidence-informed fitness and physical activity programming for individuals with disabilities. Through this work, he connects scholarship with community practice and seeks to expand opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate fully in physical activity, recreation, sport, and activities of daily living.
His overarching goal as an educator and scholar is to bridge research and practice to help create more inclusive environments in which individuals with disabilities can learn, participate, develop independence, and thrive.
