Biography
Professor Bryan has served as Director of the Child Advocacy Clinic at the University of Mississippi since 2025. Prior to joining Ole Miss, Professor Bryan practiced family and child welfare law across western North Carolina and the Piedmont for more than 12 years. Professor Bryan’s practice focused on child custody, divorce, property division, parent defense, domestic violence and appellate practice. Immediately prior to joining the faculty, Professor Bryan was a shareholder at King Law Offices, P.C. – where he helped develop and chaired the firm’s Family Law Practice Group. In said role, he led and trained a team of 24 attorneys and 12 case managers across multiple offices in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. He, in his professional career, has also served as the Director of Development for the Children & Family Resource Center of Henderson County [N.C.]. Beyond his practice, Professor Bryan has been involved with various nonprofits and pro bono initiatives – including previously serving as President of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina and providing pro bono representation to survivors of domestic violence.
