Biography
Rachel Scott is a Principal Evaluation Associate at the Center for Research Evaluation (CERE) at the University of Mississippi where she leads the K-12 and Capacity Building portfolio. Scott’s focus at CERE is working with clients to help them determine if their work is having a positive impact. Her previous roles in education have been at all levels of K-12 schools including Director of Magnet Programs for a small-urban school district in the South, instructional facilitator/magnet coordinator for a nationally recognized design-themed magnet school, district instructional technology specialist, and AP science teacher. She earned her Bachelor of General Studies (2010) and Master of Science in instructional technology (2014) from Texas A&M University –Texarkana and her Education Specialist in educational leadership (2017) from Arkansas State University. Scott received her Doctor of Education in curriculum and instruction – educational technology (2020) at the University of Florida, with a research focus on technology integration in magnet schools. She has presented locally and nationally on building capacity for technology integration in schools, facilitation techniques to support evaluation, and change models to support strategic planning.
