Robert Corban is an Instructional Assistant Professor of History in the Department of History at the University of Mississippi.
Research Interests
Robert Corban teaches the histories of fascism, capitalism, and war in Europe. He is also at work on two projects. The first is a manuscript based on his dissertation at Columbia University on the mobilization of agriculture in Mussolini’s Italy. The second is a collaboration across multiple fields, disciplines and media on the Second World War in the Mediterranean. The research for these projects has been carried out with the support of the Mellon Foundation, the War & Peace Initiative at Columbia, and the Department of History at the University of Mississippi.

Biography
Robert Corban earned his BA in History from the University of Mississippi in 2013 and MA in History from Syracuse University (2015). He earned the MPhil and PhD from the Department of History at Columbia University and returned home to teach in the Department of History at the University of Mississippi. He and his better half live and work in Oxford with their dog, the Marchesa Alfonsina de Luna.
