Sam Hammoud is the Director of Information Technology and an Instructor of MIS.

Biography

With more than 20 years of experience in information technology and higher education, Sam Hammoud serves as Director of Information Technology for the University of Mississippi. He provides strategic leadership for enterprise technology initiatives, infrastructure modernization, IT operations, and service delivery while working collaboratively with academic and administrative units to align technology with the University's mission and strategic priorities.

Mr. Hammoud earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi. His expertise spans enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, software development, IT governance, project and portfolio management, operational strategy, and organizational transformation. Recognized for his collaborative leadership and ability to bridge technology with business objectives, he is committed to delivering innovative, secure, and sustainable technology solutions that enhance the experience of students, faculty, staff, and the broader university community.
