Sam Luis Massaro is the Instructional Assistant Professor of Performance.

Biography

Sam Luis Massaro (he/him) is thrilled to be joining the Department of Theatre and Film at University of Mississippi as an Instructional Assistant Professor of Performance. He has worked in the regional theatre industry with nationally renowned companies including American Players Theatre, Folger Shakespeare Theatre, and Bedlam Theatre. Sam founded and is the Artistic Director of Circuit Theatre Company, a Chicago based company dedicated to reclaiming classical theatre for artists of underrepresented identities. He co-directed Circuit Theatre Co's inaugural production, Richard II. TV: Forgive and Forget (opposite Ty Burrell, dir. James Burrows) FILM: VICE (opposite Christian Bale, dir. Adam McKay); Somewhere in Queens (dir. Ray Romano). Education: MFA UC Irvine, BFA Florida State Univ.
