I am an Assistant Professor in Scholar Support and Data Services at the University of Mississippi Libraries. I provide support in research impact, open access, and other areas of scholarly communication, as well as evidence synthesis. My research examines how scientific knowledge spreads through the literature. Specifically, I apply bibliometrics, natural language processing, and machine learning to study the dynamics of citation behavior and knowledge diffusion.

Biography
Dr. Hsiao received her PhD from the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She specializes in the Science of Science, applying natural language processing and computational methods to scholarly literature to understand how scientific knowledge is communicated, disseminated, and evaluated.
