Tamara Warhol is an Associate Professor of Modern Languages, teaching in the linguistics, TESOL, and Second Language Studies programs.

Biography

Tamara Warhol is an Associate Professor of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi. She teaches in the linguistics, TESOL, and Second Language Studies (applied linguistics emphasis) programs. With an M.S.Ed. in TESOL (2002) and a Ph.D. in Educational Linguistics (2011) from the University of Pennsylvania, she has dedicated her career to improving language pedagogy, language teacher education, and qualitative research methods.

Dr. Warhol has been a faculty member at the University of Mississippi since 2007, serving in various roles, including Director of the Intensive English Program, Graduate Program Coordinator for Applied Linguistics and TESOL, and Advisor for Undergraduate Linguistics. She has also held visiting scholar positions globally, including as a Fulbright Specialist at Thammasat University. Dr. Warhol’s work reflects her commitment to fostering linguistic and cultural understanding in diverse educational contexts.
