Mr. Tyler Edwards is an Academic Advisor in the Health Professions Advising Office at the University of Mississippi. He is responsible for advising students pursuing Nursing (last names T-Z), Radiologic Sciences, and Dental Hygiene.
Biography
Mr. Tyler Edwards is the newest counselor to join the HPAO team. Tyler also serves as the staff advisor for Smile Makers. Previously he had served in similar advisor role at the University of Louisiana-Monroe for the past five years. Before that, he attended Delta State University for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees, where he met his wife Kourtney. The two recently welcomed their first child. Originally from Southaven, MS, as a first-generation college student Tyler understands how big a difference it can make to have someone to turn to for assurance and reinforcement.
Outside of academia Tyler enjoys sports and very much has been able to live the dream as he was able to play football in college then work in collegiate athletics at ULM. On any given day you can find him in the stands at any Ole Miss athletics event or glued to a TV with the latest game. Outside of the sports world Tyler has a passion for the outdoors as a hunter, well as a creative side as a self-taught guitar player.
