Biography
Vickie Barksdale is an Academic Counselor with the School of Business Advising Office. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching at Mississippi State University. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Christian Brothers University. Vickie first joined the University of Mississippi in 2017 as a Coordinator of Advising, Recruitment, and Retention. In addition to serving as an Academic Counselor in the School of Business, Vickie teaches the Freshman Year Experience course and the Academic Skills for College course. Prior to her joining The University of Mississippi she worked in Adult Education. Vickie’s passion is working with students to provide academic advising, career options and encouragement so they can enjoy the greatest university experience.
