Biography
Yixin Chen is Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Mississippi. His research focuses on data mining, machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, biomedical informatics, and robotics. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. Dr. Chen has authored one monograph and more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals and conferences. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation and other agencies, and he has received multiple honors for research, teaching, and professional service.
