Pianist who prepares students for performances and who loves performing with other faculty musicians
Biography
DMA & MM, Michigan State University, BM Kyung-Won University (South Korea) Prior to Instructor of Collaborative Piano appointment at the University of Mississippi, pianist Dr. Yoojung Kim held positions of Staff Collaborative Pianist at Truman State University, Collaborative Pianist at Crane School of Music SUNY Potsdam, Staff Pianist at Columbus State University, Music Faculty at Lansing Community College, Staff Accompanist at Olivet College, and Principal Keyboardist at Lansing Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Kim also worked at Howell Public Schools as a Choir Pianist and Assistant to Music Directors for many years. During summers, Dr. Kim enjoyed teaching piano and accompanying choirs at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. She also toured Europe with Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Choir Ensembles and International Youth Orchestra as a pianist and a harpsichordist. Dr. Kim earned both DMA and MM degrees in Piano Performance from Michigan State University where she studied with Yong Hi Moon. Her BM in Piano Performance is from Kyung-Won University in Seoul Korea where she is originally from.
