    Edec 3010: Introduction to Early Childhood Ed

    This course provides an overview of early childhood education for children from birth through age 8. Topics include the history, trends, theories, and philosophies, developmentally appropriate practices, preferred learning environments, and current trends and issues in early childhood education.

    Edsp 3080: Introduction to Special Education

    Introduction and overview of the various exceptionalities receiving special education services. An inclusive approach is presented with strategies for accommodating students with disabilities in regular education settings. An emphasis is placed on the role of technology and its uses with students with learning and behavioral problems.

    Edec 3200: Early Childhood Methods

    An introduction to the foundations of early childhood education theory and practice. Topics include the history of early childhood education, influential theorists in the field and their effect on teaching and learning, early childhood curricula, and the range and quality of early childhood context.
