Registered Student Organizations
Ole Miss is a place where students like to jump in. Get involved. Be a leader. Raise the bar. Make a difference. Find registered student organizations that fit your interests.
We’ve Got an Organization for You
Ole Miss students can choose from hundreds of Registered Student Organizations. Look for groups that focus on what interests you personally, academically or professionally. Check an organization’s listing on The ForUM or the group’s social media page to get an idea of what the organization does and asks of its members.
Find Your Organization
Fraternities and Sororities
Greek-letter organizations engage with the university community through leadership, academics, service, and fellowship.
Sport Clubs
Sport clubs offer competitive, recreational, instruction, and opportunities for team competition. Clubs may represent the university in intercollegiate competition or conduct intra-club activities such as practice, instruction, social and tournament play.
Religious and Spiritual Organizations
Students seeking to grow and explore their faith can find a local place of worship or a campus group representing a wide range of faiths and denominations.
Service and Philanthropic Opportunities
Students can join a service organization or volunteer to give back and make a difference, whether in the Oxford community or across the globe. You will find ways to shine in one of our many service and philanthropic organizations.
Student Government
Become an advocate for your fellow students. Our student government organizations serve our student body, and take their interests to our administration.
Student Media Center
Students are given hands-on experience with all things media. From reporters and photographers to news anchors and radio DJ’s, the SMC houses multiple enterprises to help students learn both new and existing forms of media, and the technology behind them.
Starting a New RSO
Have an interest but can't find a related student group? Want to start your own organization? The process is easy.
Once you are an enrolled as a student, you only need three things:
- A roster with three students
- A faculty/staff advisor
- An organizational constitution, RSO Constitution Checklist
Once you have your roster, advisor, and constitution, submit an application to create a new RSO:
- Go to the Forum and sign in with your Ole Miss WebID and password
- Select “Organizations” (Icon with two people) from the menu on the left side of your screen
- Select the white “Register an Organization” button at the bottom of the filter options on the left
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the blue “Register a New Organization” button
Once the application is submitted, a staff member from the Student Union will be in touch soon concerning the next steps.
One of these steps will be to attend RSO Orientation. Orientation sessions provide members of RSOs an overview of RSO expectations, available resources, pertinent dates and events, and the opportunity to ask questions.
