Scholarships for Veteran and Military-Connected Students

Children who meet eligibility criteria and are pursuing their first undergraduate degrees or first technical certifications may receive assistance for up to four academic years of full-time study.

The mission of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation is to honor Marines by educating their children.

Spouses without a four-year college degree who are pursuing their first undergraduate degrees or first technical certifications may receive assistance for up to four academic years of full-time study or eight academic years of part-time study as long as they meet all other requirements.

The Navy League Foundation offers scholarships to high school seniors who will attend an accredited institution of higher education in the fall of the current award cycle. Eligible applicants must be a dependent, child, stepchild, grandchild, step-grandchild, or great-grandchild (direct descendant) of a current or former member of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, U.S.-flag Merchant Marines, or U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps

The Navy Seabee Foundation offers scholarships to students seeking accredited two-year, and four-year degrees and career and technical scholarships. We provide scholarships exclusively to the children and grandchildren of America’s Fighting Seabees, Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) officers and those who served with the Naval Construction Force attending accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools.

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Education Assistance provides grants & interest-free loans to eligible Navy & Marine Corps dependents and MECEP/MECP students so they reach their post-secondary education goals with less financial stress.

PVA’s mission is to improve the quality of life for its members and their families. For PVA members, spouses, or unmarried dependent children under age 24 (as defined by IRS dependency guidelines)

The Pat Tillman Foundation selects up to 60 Tillman Scholars each year. The scholarship covers tuition, books, and living expenses.

The Purple Heart Scholarship Program is a competitive program that awards scholarships to Purple Heart recipients and their spouses, children, and grandchildren each year. At least one applicant with military service will be awarded the Navy SEAL LT Michael Murphy Memorial Award.

The Rear Admiral Sumner Shapiro Scholarship Program awards scholarships to dependent children (under 24 years of age) of regular and reserve Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard officer and enlisted intelligence personnel. The scholarship program also includes one specifically for active duty USN, USMC, and USCG enlisted personnel serving in intelligence-related assignments.

The Scholarships for Military Children Program was created to recognize military families' contributions to the fighting force's readiness and to celebrate the commissary's role in the military family community.

Student Veterans of America and Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) have partnered to provide two (2) $10,000 scholarships to student veterans demonstrating a commitment to and passion for their chosen field of study, as well as demonstrated leadership and engagement within their community. The Patriot Scholarship is offered exclusively to U.S. Army veterans, and is named after RMD’s Patriot Air and Missile Defense System.

The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship is available each year to veteran's with a 100% service connected disability, or survivors of a deceased servicemember with a service-related death.

The VFW's "Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship" provides service members and veterans with the financial assistance they need to complete their educational goals without incurring excessive student loan debt.
