About the Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate is composed of elected representatives from departments across the College of Liberal Arts, the professional schools, and the University Libraries. Senators are chosen by their peers to ensure balanced faculty representation in university governance. Officers and committee chairs lead efforts in areas such as academic conduct, instructional affairs, finance, governance, research, and university services—advancing shared governance and the mission of the University of Mississippi.
