Make it Mississippi Leadership Program

The Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence, in partnership with the Center for Mathematics and Science Education, is proud to offer the Make It Mississippi Manufacturing Leadership Program.

  • This two-and-a-half-day camp offers high school students and educators the opportunity to learn more about manufacturing and STEM careers within the accounting, business, and engineering sectors.

Student Leadership Program

Make It Mississippi is a competitive, residential summer experience for rising juniors and seniors in high school interested in Manufacturing and STEM careers within the accounting, business, and engineering sectors.

  • Students will work directly with faculty and staff from the Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence at The University of Mississippi.

Regardless of your interests, this is a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn about leadership positions in manufacturing, engineering, supply-chain management, financial analysis, management accounting, and others. Students will also be able to hone their critical-thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.

Summer Leadership Program for Educators

Make It Mississippi Summer Leadership Program for Educators offers a unique hands-on experience for teachers to learn about new pathways in the manufacturing sectors.

  • On the University of Mississippi campus, educators will work directly with faculty and staff from the Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence and Center for Mathematics and Science Education to help align industry needs with content for the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards.
  • Regardless of your interests, this is a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn about the manufacturing industry.

The Summer Leadership Program for Educators is a two-and-a-half-day professional development program partially funded through the Center for Manufacturing Excellence; thus, space is limited to 20 participants.
