Human Resources Business Partners

Meet the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) supporting individual colleges, schools, and administrative units across campus.

Human Resources Business Partners Are Here to Help You

Our Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) team is here to support you across key areas, including Workday, Recruiting, and People Relations. HRBPs serve as strategic partners, working closely with leaders to deliver HR services, troubleshoot complex issues, and enhance HR alignment within each unit.

By getting to know your college, school, or unit, HRBPs build a deeper understanding of your needs and can provide more tailored, effective support. The more they learn about your work and team, the better they can help you navigate HR processes and challenges.

Whenever you have an HR-related question, your HRBP is your first point of contact. They will either assist directly or connect you with the right HR expert. When in doubt—reach out.

Our Core Services

As we build out this model, HRBPs will ultimately support all areas of Human Resources. Early focus areas include:

  • Workday Support: Providing assistance through services like training, office hours, and Workday Help Cases.
  • People Relations: Enhancing performance management, process development, policy review, conflict resolution, and general employee relations support.
  • Recruiting: Collaborating on thoughtful recruiting strategies, including postings, job descriptions, and more.

Phased Implementation

Here’s a quick snapshot of how the new HRBP operating model is being implemented:

  • Phase I: Build structure and communicate
  • Phase II: Implement, build relationships, and deepen understanding of unit needs
  • Phase III: Expand HR services and scope
  • Phase IV: Fully transition to the HRBP operational model
