Visitor Parking at Ole Miss

Welcome! As a guest of the University of Mississippi it is our hope that your parking experience is a pleasant one. All vehicles parked on the university campus are required to have a University parking permit of some type: Monday thru Friday 7:30AM to 5:00 PM.  As a visitor, there are several options when it comes to purchasing your visitor permit for your vehicle. NOTE! Visitor Permits (Daily, Monthly, Annual etc.) are not valid for large campus events such as concerts and some sporting events including home football, basketball, and baseball games.

Online Passes

Visitor permits may be purchased online and printed ahead of arrival on the University of Mississippi Oxford campus. Permits purchased online are limited to the Daily Rate (see below) only and may be purchased for up to 7 consecutive days on a single purchase. Weekends are included in the 7 day period but are at no cost. Please read below to know where visitors can and cannot park.

NOTICE! Current students and staff of the University are not eligible to purchase Visitor Passes. Pass holders identified as students or staff who improperly provided false information to obtain a Visitor Pass are subject to citation and possible vehicle immobilization.

Parking Rates

Visitor parking rates are set to provide convenient access to campus for non-affiliated individuals.

You may purchase a daily permit from the Welcome Center located on University Avenue as you enter the Lyceum Circle, the Parking and Transportation main office, or online using the link above.

This may be purchased at the Parking and Transportation main office.

This permit is prorated by time remaining in the permit sale year (July 2024 to June 2025) and may be purchased at the Parking and Transportation main office.

Where to Park

Parking Lots - The Lyceum Circle and University Avenue just beyond the Welcome Center are designated visitor parking areas on campus. Visitors with current Visitor Permits may also park in any non-reserved valid parking space in the faculty/staff and/or commuter parking zones based on availability.

Metered Parking - There is also metered parking available at a rate of $1.75 per hour. See the campus map for metered parking locations. Visitors parking at metered locations are not required to purchase a permit but are required to pay for time while parked regardless of the presence of a parking pass.

Media

All media members should contact the University of Mississippi Public Relations Department in order to receive a temporary parking pass before arriving on campus.

Campus Recreation Members

Campus Recreation members who are not students, faculty/staff, or retirees may purchase a CR parking permit. Campus Recreation memberships do not include a parking permit. There is a request for parking permit form at the both CR facilities that is to be filled out with a CR Member Services Representative when purchasing the membership.  You may also mail memberservices@olemiss.edu for a request for parking permit form.

In addition to a CR parking permit, metered spaces are located near the Turner Center and South Campus Rec Center if you wish to pay the hourly rate for the time used. Questions or concerns regarding parking must be brought directly to the attention of the Department of Parking and Transportation at 662-915-7235 or parking@olemiss.edu.

  • RV & Motorhome Parking
