Communicators' Network
The network is made up of nearly 100 marketing and communications professionals — writers, editors, content creators, designers, photographers, videographers, web developers and other communicators — from colleges, schools, academic programs and administrative units across the university.
Unifying Campus Strategy and Collaboration
With support and guidance from University Marketing & Communications, the priorities of the Network are to:
- Advance the university’s mission and goals,
- Strengthen marketing and communication efforts of the university by creating a community of practice among marcomm professionals,
- Champion an aligned approach to strategic marcomm initiatives, including strategic messaging priorities, brand management practices and standards, and communications and marketing policies,
- Enhance relationships and collaboration across campus units responsible for marketing and communications,
- Identify opportunities for integrated campaigns and team-based projects to deliver greater impact and
- Promote innovation and professional development through the sharing of successful and creative ideas, resources, best practices and communication strategies.
Reach the Network
Our Comms Listserv facilitates communication and interaction among members of the UM Communicators’ Network. Members highlight upcoming events/activities, seek input or guidance from colleagues, solicit help in reaching the campus community, celebrate great news from campus, share relevant best practices, articles or updates in the marcom field, etc. For more information, email Erin Garrett.
