Strategic Communications oversees executive communications, internal communications, special projects, and the Communicators' Network.

Our team works with campus partners to produce and share information with students, faculty, and staff and build awareness of programs, events and initiatives across our campuses. We welcome the opportunity to work with you and invite you to use the resources we’ve created below.

Executive Communications

The team provides communications strategy and support for the Office of the Chancellor including remarks, letters, statements, website, a monthly e-newsletter and social media.

Our Resources

The team increases connectivity, awareness, morale and pride of students, faculty and staff by informing them about and engaging them in campus life. They oversee internal communications strategy and channels including weekly e-newsletters for employees and current students and a campus-wide digital signage network.

We've developed a comprehensive guide of all university resources available to our internal communicators across campus.

The Hotty Toddy TV network deploys mesaging across more than 80 television displays across campus to:

Facilitate emergency preparedness and response functions including, but not limited to, sharing campus health & safety information and sending alerts
Improve communication across campus
Promote university-wide activities, events and educational opportunities
Increase awareness of student-focused support and services

A weekly student e-newsletter for students, by students. The email is delivered each Monday during the Fall and Spring semesters to share useful and engaging information for students, such as events, academic reminders and school-spirit promotional items. A weekly e-newsletter that informs, engages and celebrates the faculty and staff at the University of Mississippi. The Red & Blue is delivered Monday and includes useful and engaging information for employees, such as events, HR information, training opportunities and news. Email MarComm for more information.

Our internal network of nearly 100 marketing and communications professionals — writers, editors, content creators, designers, photographers, videographers, web developers and other communicators — from University Marketing & Communications as well as colleges, schools, academic programs and administrative units.
