Political science is the study of political institutions and political behavior at the local, state, national, and international levels. Students of political science will develop critical thinking, writing, and oral communication skills essential to effective citizenship, as well as many careers.

Studying Political Science
Political Science majors develop skills in analysis, problem-solving, argumentation, and persuasion. They learn to work with others towards a common goal, and communicate in a variety of settings. They also gain skills in understanding and interpreting trends in data—skills that are highly desirable to employers.
