Services

It is our primary goal to provide comprehensive and quality services to our clients, regardless of ability to pay. Our dedicated staff is here to help members of the university, and community.
  • If you are in a position where you either do not have insurance, or want to remain confidential and not have to send personal information to your insurance company, the Psychological Services Center offers a very affordable sliding scale based on your income and life situation.

Faculty and clinicians are highly trained and focus on the latest scientifically supported approaches to treatment, and continually track progress and consult with experts on the most effective treatment for your situation.

Research

An important part of our mission is to conduct research that will aid our clinicians and other practitioners across the country in deepening our understanding and effectiveness. The research is conducted and supervised by the clinical psychology faculty.

  • There are a range of topics and areas that the staff pursue, such as the treatment of headaches, anxiety, smoking cessation, cultural awareness, early childhood and school-based intervention.
  • University of Mississippi faculty are internationally known for the quality of research conducted through the department, and are regularly published in journals, presented in conferences, and sought out by other practitioners and clinics to inform and improve their own services.

All research is done with the knowledge and consent of the people who participate. Privacy is always more important than research, and no observation or measurements are ever conducted without somone’s full knowledge and permission.
