About Therapy and Assessment

How does therapy work?
Seeking treatment is the first step to improving your life, achieving personal growth, and enhancing self-improvement. Therapy is more than just a conversation—it's a transformative journey. By being open and honest with someone else, you'll learn to be more truthful and clear with yourself.
- At the Psychological Services Center, we provide therapy that in a safe, non-judgmental space so you can explore and understand the origins of your challenges and how to address them in your daily life.
- Therapy involves making yourself vulnerable and discussing difficult topics, but this process allows you to safely explore and release your feelings, leading to lasting, positive changes.
A common misconception is that seeking therapy is a sign of weakness. In reality, recognizing the need for help and reaching out is a testament to your courage, strength, and determination.
Together with your therapist, you’ll set goals and develop a plan to achieve them, ensuring that your treatment brings meaningful, positive outcomes for your life.
