Difference Outcomes Measured

Evidence will be compiled into annual performance reports, strategic evaluations, and accreditation reviews, helping ensure that the NCTR continuously meets its instructional, research, and service mission while delivering measurable impact to Mississippi and the broader tactical community.

  • Student enrollment and retention in courses, internships, and academic programs affiliated with NCTR.
  • Graduation rates and post-completion outcomes (e.g., employment in tactical professions, admission to graduate programs).
  • Student learning assessments, including pre/post knowledge tests, performance evaluations, and competency checklists.
  • Course evaluations and instructional feedback from students and faculty.
  • Participation in experiential learning such as field placements, simulations, and applied research projects.

  • Number of funded research projects initiated and completed through NCTR.
  • Peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and white papers produced by center faculty and affiliates.
  • Interdisciplinary research collaborations and co-authored outputs across departments.
  • External research funding secured, including federal, state, and private grants.
  • Research impact metrics, such as citations, downloads, and usage in tactical readiness policy or practice.

  • Number and type of service activities conducted, such as workshops, training sessions, outreach events, and technical assistance provided to tactical agencies.
  • Stakeholder feedback and satisfaction surveys from partner agencies, departments, and community groups.
  • Documented improvements in client agency outcomes, such as reduced injury rates, enhanced readiness, or improved retention.
  • Community engagement metrics, including rural and underserved group participation and partnership diversity.
  • Recognition or endorsements from service recipients and regional/national partners.
