The National Center for Tactical Readiness (NCTR) at the University of Mississippi works to improve the health, resilience, and readiness of military personnel, first responders, and other tactical professionals through research, education, and workforce development. By drawing on the university’s interdisciplinary expertise, it creates evidence-based solutions that enhance safety, effectiveness, and innovation in tactical readiness.
Leading Faculty
The NCTR will be led by founding Director Dr. Chip Wade, an expert in biomechanics and tactical performance, alongside a future co-director and a team of researchers, clinicians, and practitioners. Staffing support will come from existing faculty and staff at the University of Mississippi and UMMC.
