Many Lott Leadership Institute students choose to pursue an additional area of interest, taking advantage of the interdisciplinary nature of the academic major. Students frequently pair a Public Policy Leadership major with majors and minors across the university, creating unique combinations that strengthen both their academic preparation and career readiness.

Collaboration With the Department of Public Policy Leadership (PPL)

Graduates of the Lott Leadership Institute are prepared to serve as leaders in their local communities, states, nations, and abroad. The B.A. in Public Policy Leadership prepares students for a variety of career possibilities, including academia, law, government, nonprofit work, or the private sector. 

Department of Public Policy Leadership

The Department of Public Policy Leadership provides a challenging undergraduate major that prepares high-performing students for positions of leadership in an increasingly complex world. The interdisciplinary program emphasizes the global nature of responsible decision making, the ethical imperatives of leadership, critical thinking, communication skills, and the conceptual and methodological skills necessary for careful policy analysis.
