Flexible Work Locations

Occasional work from home arrangements may be possible for employees for a variety of reasons.

We want to be flexible with working locations when possible

Occasional work from home arrangements may be approved for a variety of circumstances. Examples include, but not limited to:

  • Inclement weather
  • Special projects
  • Business travel
  • Waiting for repair or internet services

These arrangements are approved by the managing supervisor on an as-needed basis, with no expectation of ongoing continuation. Because these are informal and temporary, there isn’t a formal process for requesting occasional, sporadic or ad-hoc work-from-home days.

Additionally, short-term, informal arrangements may be possible for employees on family or medical leave, depending on what is practical for both the employee and the organization, and with the consent of the employee’s healthcare provider, if needed.
